Concerning & Potentially Concerning Content

One of the kittens gets sad and says that they will “drown their sorrows” (a reference to getting drunk to avoid feelings of sorrow). This is meant to be funny as it next shows the kitten drinking a saucer of milk.

Our Thoughts

This is a short, cute graphic novel that is part of a series from the author of InvestiGators (see our earlier review of the first book from that series as well). Aside from one unfortunate comment, this title is completely clean. Consider this another safe option to replace the growing number of graphic novel series to avoid.

Plot SummaryNote: This information is typically from the publisher.Use with caution

Can you be too cute for your own good? Sadly, the answer is yes. In a world where kittens and humans coexist, several talented kittens with skills in architecture, construction, engineering, and plumbing have discovered that nobody will take them seriously in the workplace because they are just too darned adorable. So the kittens take matters into their own hands, and form their own all-feline firm: the Kitten Construction Company! They're going to build the best mayor's mansion the city has ever seen . . . just as soon as they can stop chasing laser pointers. With adorable art and a hilarious, pun-filled story, Kitten Construction Company is the latest kid-friendly comic from Hippopotamister author-illustrator John Patrick Green.

Scripture Reflection

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

— 1 Timothy 4:12-16
