Our Thoughts

Right away parents see an encouraging sign with this one, as the bright colorful cover boasts a “Christian Book Award Winner” tag. We then launch into an adventure with an author that really knows his audience (we laughed at the illustration of a cool young princess jumping a skateboard over a bench while being pulled by a dinosaur sidekick while on an important mission). We realized we don’t normally see stories like this for this audience.

The story boasts just the right amount of adventure for the target audience and boasts a really nice and refreshing family dynamic. The length (around 100 pages with largish font with short chapters and a few illustrations) is just right and likely won’t be intimidating for earlier readers, but can still be enjoyed by more confident kiddos.

The most important thing, this is an engaging short story with “Pilgrim’s Progress” for young kiddos vibes is one you can use as a tool to talk with your kids about the narrow and exclusive path Jesus calls all of His followers to. The book ends with John 14:6, which states “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. A Christian resource we HIGHLY Recommend.

Note: We found this book at a homeschool convention while searching for new Christian options to bring to parents. The author signed the book and added a reference to John 14:6 there as well.
